**TMEIC Investing $48M in New Houston-Area Manufacturing Plant**

Data center equipment supplier TMEIC has announced a $48 million investment for the development of its third manufacturing facility in the Houston area. The new 267,000-square-foot plant, located in Brookshire, Texas, is slated for completion in May 2026, with operations expected to begin the following month.

The facility, built on a 20-acre site, will focus on the production of uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) and medium-voltage drives. These technologies not only support data centers but are also vital for the expanding oil and gas industry and other mission-critical applications.

TMEIC anticipates that the new plant will initially create approximately 200 jobs, with plans to expand the workforce to 500 positions as production ramps up. The company already operates one factory in Brookshire and another in nearby Katy.

As part of a tax abatement agreement, TMEIC is required to employ at least 300 people at the new facility by the end of 2027, maintaining that workforce level through 2031.
