Tishman Speyer has announced the appointment of Nikita Rao as Managing Director and Head of U.S. Residential. In her new role, based in Washington D.C., Rao will oversee the firm’s U.S. residential portfolio which includes market rate, workforce, and affordable assets. She will report to Paul Galiano and collaborate with Erik Rose on development projects while directing strategy for asset acquisition and operation.
With over two decades of experience in multifamily housing investment, Rao brings a wealth of knowledge to Tishman Speyer’s team. Her previous roles include launching Nuveen Real Estate’s U.S Cities Multifamily Fund as well as working in asset management at The Carlyle Group.
According to Tishman Speyer CEO Rob Speyer, their residential business is a crucial part of their growth strategy and diversification plan.
