Tishman Speyer and Harvard Break Ground on ERC

Construction has officially begun on the first phase of the Enterprise Research Campus (ERC) in Boston’s Allston neighborhood. This nine-acre mixed-use development, approved by the Boston Planning and Development Agency in 2022, will feature two laboratory buildings, a 343-unit rental apartment building, a hotel, and over two acres of public outdoor space for community use.

Leading this project on behalf of Harvard University is Tishman Speyer. The mass-timber David Rubenstein Treehouse will be developed as a conference facility for all campus members to utilize. With an emphasis on innovation and inclusivity, this development aims to foster collaboration through community engagement while also prioritizing sustainable design and equity throughout its construction process.
