Tinley Park Brewpub: Urban Innovations' Historic House Adaptation

Urban Innovations has launched a renovation and expansion project of the historic Karl Vogt Building at 6811 Hickory Street in downtown Tinley Park, IL. The four-story, 7,835-square-foot building is the only one listed on the National Register of Historic Places in Tinley Park and serves as a prominent feature of its downtown area.

The Vogt House by Banging Gavel Brews will be completed by June 2021 with an aim to rejuvenate charming original elements while serving modern life as an entertainment hub for Tinley Park. Jason Zeman, Project Manager for Urban Innovations stated: “This project is thoughtful and purposeful in bringing together old and new.”

Katherine Pohl & Joakim Backstrom from Altus Works have worked closely with both National Parks Service’s & Illinois State Historic Preservation Office since inception to ensure that all preservation guidelines are met throughout this adaptive reuse process.
