Tidewater Capital Receives Final Approvals for Oakland Projects

Tidewater Capital, a San Francisco-based development company, has received final approvals for two major projects in Oakland. The first project is located at 533 Kirkham and will feature 289 residential units in West Oakland. The second project is situated at 1431 Franklin and will include 381 units in Downtown Oakland. Both developments are set to replace existing parking lots.

According to Tidewater Capital principal Ross Stackhouse, the Planning Commission has shown full support for the development of both sites. He stated that with the approval of these projects, Tidewater can bring much-needed housing to an underutilized area near BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit), contributing to the growth of a mixed-use neighborhood.

Stackhouse also mentioned that these new housing options in Downtown Oakland will provide residents with easy access to the city’s lively and diverse urban core. This will benefit local businesses such as restaurants, retail stores, and other small establishments within walking distance from these developments.
