**Three Developers Compete for Riviera Beach Waterfront Redevelopment Project**
Riviera Beach officials are evaluating proposals from three developers, all with previous experience in local projects, to transform a prime waterfront parcel into a vibrant mixed-use district.
The city’s Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) is spearheading the effort, having issued a request for proposals in August for the 90-acre site located at 190 E. 13th Street. The initiative is envisioned as a public-private partnership that will spur investment in Riviera Beach’s downtown, drawing new office tenants and upscale retailers, while also expanding parking availability. The CRA plans to ground-lease the properties involved in the redevelopment.
The project has drawn interest from Forest Development, Sonnenblick Development, and Related Urban Development Group. Each firm’s proposal features a unique mix of condominiums, hotel accommodations, office space, retail stores, and restaurants. These plans aim to continue the momentum generated by Phase I of development, which introduced a new event center, an expanded marina with 140 boat slips, and watersports amenities along the Intracoastal Waterway.
The final decision will significantly shape the future of Riviera Beach’s waterfront and downtown district.
