**Plaza del Lago in Wilmette Announces 13 New Retailers Set to Open in 2025**
Plaza del Lago, the historic open-air shopping destination located in the heart of Chicago’s North Shore, is set to welcome thirteen new retailers to its lineup. The additions mark a significant expansion for the retail center as it continues to evolve under new ownership.
Among the brands joining the revitalized destination are acclaimed fashion label Oscar de la Renta, popular lifestyle and fashion boutique SPACE 519, casual luxury apparel brand James Perse, romantic clothing label LoveShackFancy, global lifestyle designer Cynthia Rowley, fashion and home styling brand Hill House Home, and men’s luxury retailer Peter Millar. The new businesses are slated to begin opening in July 2025.
“These brands intentionally span the spectrum – a mixture of locals and nationals, soft goods and services, at different price points with one common element – they are each best in class,” said Samantha David, President of WS Development.
Originally constructed in the 1920s, Plaza del Lago stands as one of the oldest open-air shopping centers in the United States. Now managed by mixed-use developer WS Development, the center is undergoing significant upgrades, including building restorations, infrastructure improvements, and the conversion of second-story residential units into two-story retail suites.
With these additions and improvements, Plaza del Lago is poised to once again become a premier retail and lifestyle destination in the region.
