National daycare franchise The Learning Experience is planning a significant footprint expansion in the Sacramento area, with six new freestanding centers scheduled to open over the next several years. The rollout will add a combined 60,000 square feet of commercial space across multiple communities in the region.
Each new location is designed with up to 10,000 square feet of indoor building space and an additional outdoor playground area of up to 5,000 square feet. The format supports the franchise’s early childhood education and daycare programming, which serves infants through preschool-age children.
Staffing at each incoming center is expected to reach as many as 30 employees, including certified teachers and support staff. At full operating capacity, an individual facility is planned to accommodate up to 180 children ranging in age from six weeks to six years.
The Learning Experience currently operates a single center in the Sacramento market. The new development slate will bring six additional sites online in a staged timeline, extending the brand’s regional presence over the next several years.
According to the rollout schedule, new centers are planned in Folsom and Rocklin, both targeted to open in the third quarter of 2027. A Dixon location is projected for the fourth quarter of 2027, followed by sites in Turlock and Lincoln in the first quarter of 2028. The sequence concludes with a Roseville center anticipated to open in the second quarter of 2029.
These locations together represent a network of freestanding daycare and early education facilities distributed across the broader Sacramento area. The programmatic expansion reflects a multi-year commitment to building out a cluster of childcare-focused assets in several suburban and regional communities.
The Learning Experience is based in Florida and operates under a franchise model. The company is owned by private equity firm Harvest Partners, which backs the brand’s continued growth in the U.S. and abroad.
Across its system, The Learning Experience reports 491 centers open and operating. Of these, 488 are located in the United States and three are in the United Kingdom, indicating an established national footprint with a smaller but existing international presence.
With the addition of six new Sacramento-area centers to its pipeline, the franchise is positioning a larger cluster of early childhood education facilities in the region while maintaining its broader portfolio across multiple markets.
