"Texas Flooring Retailer Shutting Down All Locations"

LL Flooring, formerly known as Lumber Liquidators, has announced its closure due to financial struggles. The company’s $110 million debt and inability to find a buyer after declaring bankruptcy have led to the decision. As part of the shutdown process, 24 stores in Texas will be closing down while all 400 remaining stores across the country will also be shutting their doors.

The company plans to begin winding down operations this week and expects all remaining stores to start their closing sales on September 6th. This process is estimated to take around three months before completion.

Founded in 1994 by Tom Sullivan, a building contractor who initially purchased excess wood from other companies, Lumber Liquidators Flooring quickly became one of the leading hardwood flooring retailers in the US. In 2010, it expanded into Canada before ultimately facing financial difficulties that resulted in its closure announcement.
