Texas has been ranked as the state with the best business climate for companies looking to relocate or expand, according to Business Facilities, a site selection trade publication. The 19th annual ranking examined more than 60 factors and placed Texas at the top of its list with North Carolina, Virginia, Utah and Tennessee rounding out the first five. In 2022 alone it was reported that Texas attracted over 1,000 projects representing $44.75 billion in capital investment and creating more than 35,000 jobs; foreign investment accounted for $16.3 billion of this total figure. Dallas-Fort Worth gained a variety of corporate headquarters in recent years from heavy equipment giant Caterpillar Inc., to manufacturer ATI Inc..
Texas scored well due its diversity of industries along with infrastructure and “business-friendly regulatory” environment plus tax climate which all contributed towards their success last year – making it 11 consecutive years that they have headed Site Selection magazine’s list for new corporate facilities nationwide .
