"Texas A&M Approves $141 Million for Projects Across the System"

The Board of Regents for the Texas A&M University System has approved a budget of more than $141 million for various construction projects across the state.

One major project is the Student Housing Phase III and Dining Project at Texas A&M San Antonio, which will receive $80 million in funding. This project will add 300 new student beds and a dining facility to accommodate growing enrollment.

In addition, East Texas AM University will be constructing an event center for intercollegiate sports and community events with a budget of $63.4 million. Construction is set to begin in March 2025.

Prairie View A&M University also has plans for development with their Teaching & Academic Student Support Services Facility, which will cost approximately $40.6 million and break ground this month.

At Blue Bell Park on the campus of Texas A&M University, there are plans to build a Player Development Center with enhanced amenities for baseball student-athletes at an estimated cost of $28.3 million.

Another significant project is slated for Brownsville -the South Texas Workforce Development Project- which has been allocated a budget of$27million.Constructionis scheduledtobegininApril2025andwillincludeaTexasA&MEngineeringExtensionServicefacilitytosupportadvancedmanufacturingtraining.These investments demonstrate TheTexasA&MUniversitySystem’scommitmenttodevelopingstate-of-the-artfacilitiesacrossallcampusesforthebenefitofstudents,faculty,andthecommunityatlarge.ThefuturelooksbrightforhighereducationinTexaswiththeseexcitingdevelopmentsunderway.
