Tesla Expands Presence in Austin with Over One Million Square Feet of Industrial Space Leased
According to the Austin Business, Tesla has recently secured leases for a total of 962,000 square feet across three buildings at the Kyle/35 business park. This brings their total industrial space in Austin to over one million square feet. The company also acquired an additional 127,000 square feet last week. It is believed that this property will be used for Tesla’s battery operations.

The site is being developed by Houston-based Alliance Industrial Co., which includes five buildings and was previously announced as a $115 million investment that could potentially create around 1,500 jobs.

In addition to their presence in Austin, Tesla’s Gigafactory located in Taylor boasts over 10 million square feet of floor space. They have also broken ground on a lithium refining plant near Corpus Christi and have leased another 440,000 square feet for warehouse space in San Antonio.

This latest expansion further solidifies Tesla’s commitment to growing its operations within Texas’ thriving industrial market.
