A new student housing project is being proposed by Up Campus Properties for the Tempe area. The project, named Nova Tempe, will consist of 950 units and a total of 2,391 bedrooms. It will be located on Rural Road between Apache Blvd. and University Drive.
The development review committee in Tempe will be reviewing this project which also includes over 14,000 square feet of restaurant space. Currently occupied by various commercial uses such as a gas station and retail stores, the site is set to undergo major transformation with this new venture.
The amenities plan for Nova Tempe features ground-floor open/courtyard spaces along with a rooftop deck that offers stunning views. Other amenities include pools, pickleball courts, fireplaces,and recreation areas as well as a walking/running track.
If approved by the town development review committee,the construction for Nova Tempe is expected to begin in Q3 of 2025.The residential towers are estimated to take around28-30 months while the garage could take approximately10-12 months to complete.Dwell Design Studio has been chosen as the design firm for this exciting new venture.
