**Taylor Awards Incentive Package for $1B Data Center Development**

A new $1 billion data center is set to take root in Taylor, Texas, as part of a major development backed by Blueprint Projects. While data centers typically generate limited direct employment, they deliver significant economic benefits through high-value property tax contributions, which make them appealing assets for local municipalities.

The Taylor City Council has approved a 10-year, 50% property tax rebate on the tangible assets within the data center for Blueprint Projects, which recently acquired a 52-acre site at 1601 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive from the Taylor Economic Development Corporation.

According to reports, the data center is being developed in three phases, with each phase encompassing approximately 45,000 square feet. The total capital investment is expected to reach $1 billion over the next decade. By early 2027, the developers plan to have invested at least $360 million in the project.

Blueprint Projects’ owner stated that letters of intent for full capacity have been signed with tenants, and pre-leasing agreements are currently underway. The company also secured a 30-megawatt power supply from Oncor Electric Delivery Co.

This development signals a major step forward in Taylor’s efforts to foster tech-based economic growth and attract high-impact infrastructure investment.
