**Taiwanese Tech Firm Pegatron Eyes Georgetown for Major Factory**

A prominent Taiwanese electronics manufacturer, Pegatron Technologies, is poised to establish a significant presence in Georgetown, Texas, with plans to develop a large new factory.

According to the Austin Business Journal, Pegatron is preparing to launch a $20 million tenant improvement project at Building 3 of the Blue Springs Business Park. The facility spans 169,000 square feet and is part of the 600,000-square-foot industrial park owned by Molto Properties. The site is currently being leased by Transwestern Real Estate Services’ Nash Frisbie and Carter Thurmond with Endeavor Real Estate Group.

This move comes amid a broader trend of Taiwanese firms expanding operations in Texas, partially in response to U.S. import tariffs implemented during the Trump administration. Pegatron’s investment marks a strategic effort to grow its manufacturing footprint within the United States.

Other Taiwanese tech companies, including Hon Hai Precision Industry Co. (commonly known as Foxconn Technology Group), Wistron Corp., and Inventec Corp., have also launched or announced operations across Texas in cities such as Houston and Dallas.

Pegatron’s Georgetown facility represents a significant step in boosting local manufacturing capabilities and underscores Texas’s growing role as a hub for international tech and electronics production.
