Sycamore and Hunt Eye West End Redevelopment Project

Sycamore Development and Hunt Capital Partners have joined forces to create a new multifamily community at 805 Elm St., 711 Elm St. and 211 N. Austin St. The project, named West End Lofts, will involve the renovation of the Emerson-Brantingham Building, which currently houses Antioch Church, as well as a parking structure built in 1925.

The estimated cost for this development is $103.2 million. The developers are seeking a subsidy from the city of Dallas that could reach up to $48 million. They have also secured approximately $54 million from non-city sources such as low-income housing tax credits and historic rehabilitation tax credits.

West End Lofts will include ground-floor retail space totaling 26,462 square feet and a plaza spanning roughly 25,751 square feet. Approximately 41% of the units will be reserved for households earning between30%and80%oftheareamedianincomelevel.

The complex will offer studio apartments as well as one-, two-, and three-bedroom options.The construction is expected to begin in Q2 of2025andbe completed by Q1of2027.
