**ECO Phoenix: Eco-Friendly Multifamily Community Opens in Downtown Phoenix**
Habitat Metro has officially completed ECO Phoenix, a sustainable multifamily development located at 301 E. Roosevelt Street in downtown Phoenix. The project spans 125,000 square feet and features a five-story building designed by CCBG Architects.
ECO Phoenix is owned and developed by Habitat Fenix LLC, a joint venture between Habitat Metro, led by principals Tim Sprague and John Hill, and Thomas McPherson’s Fenix Private Capital Group. Construction was managed by general contractor Sletten Companies.
Situated at the southwest corner of 3rd Avenue and Roosevelt Street, the development includes 70 residential units with a strong emphasis on eco-conscious living. Key sustainability features include the use of solar energy, a car-share program, electric vehicle charging stations, and a greywater recycling system. The solar energy system is projected to reduce residents’ electricity bills by as much as 50%. The total cost of the project was $20 million.
Adding to the community appeal, local bakery Proof Bread has opened a new storefront within the building, further integrating neighborhood-focused amenities into the eco-friendly development.
ECO Phoenix reflects a growing trend in sustainable urban living, combining modern design with environmentally responsible practices.
