Susan Ina Academy of Performing Arts is expanding its presence in Linthicum, Anne Arundel County, Maryland with a new 5,711-square-foot lease at 801 Barkwood Court. Co-owners Shawntee Hubbard and Alex Smith are relocating the studio to accommodate the growing number of students and enhance their diverse programming.
The upcoming move from their current location at 4991 Fairview Avenue this fall marks an exciting milestone for Smith and Hubbard. As former student-turned-teacher and experienced instructor respectively, they acquired the business in mid-2022 and renamed it as Susan Ina Academy.
Facilitating this transaction were Lee & Associates’ Kate Jordan, Marley Welsh, and Samantha Eckels who represented the landlord while self-representation was done by the tenant.
Offering classes for all ages ranging from two-year-olds to adults including hip-hop dance styles like ballet or jazz along with organizing performances plus fundraising events; Susan Ina Academy has established itself as a prominent name within its niche market. “Our existing tenants comprise construction management firms alongside energy services companies that have chosen our building due to its open space layout coupled with loading docks strategically located near major highways plus population centers,” stated Jordan on behalf of her team’s involvement in securing yet another successful deal for one of Connect CRE’s valued clients.
