Sunbelt Receives Approval for 160-Acre Mixed-Use Development in Buckeye

Sunbelt Investment Holdings has proposed a new 160-acre mixed-use development in Buckeye, Arizona, combining multifamily and single-family housing with retail and business park components.

The proposed project is located at the southwest corner of Verrado Way and Yuma Road. Buckeye’s Planning and Zoning Commission has recommended approval of the developer’s request to rezone the site. In addition, Sunbelt Investment Holdings is seeking to have the land annexed from Maricopa County into the city of Buckeye.

The Phoenix Business Journal reports that both the rezoning and annexation requests are set to go before the Buckeye City Council for a vote in April. If approved, the project will include several key components: a 14-acre area for commercial development, a 46-acre business park, and a 33-acre segment dedicated to multifamily housing.

This development marks Sunbelt’s latest investment in the Valley as the region continues to see significant growth.
