Subtext Opens EVER West Lafayette Student Housing Community Near Purdue University
Subtext has officially opened EVER West Lafayette, a six-story, 449-bed student housing development located just steps from Purdue University. Situated at 147 West Wood Street, the project marks Subtext’s second development in West Lafayette and is the first to launch under the company’s new EVER brand.
The 245,649-square-foot property features 143 units, offering a variety of floorplans including studios, as well as three- and four-bedroom apartments and townhomes.
EVER West Lafayette was developed in partnership with Kayne Anderson Real Estate. First Mid Bank & Trust provided financing for the project. The development’s architecture and interior design were led by ESG Architecture & Design, while Brinkmann Constructors served as the general contractor.
“This was a first for us—two ground-up developments, across the street from each other, delivered just a year apart,” said Tim VanMatre, Founding Partner at Subtext. “Our team and partners really showed up to keep momentum through every phase, from entitlement and design to construction and lease-up—and we even achieved TCO ahead of schedule, allowing for a seamless transition to operations and move-in.”
