Rafi Properties, the owner and operator of Somernova, an innovation campus in Somerville, MA., has announced that Sublime Systems will be expanding their headquarters on the campus. Sublime is a developer of a fossil-fuel-free and scalable alternative to traditional cement for use in concrete. The company will be adding over 23,000 square feet of space for their pilot facility and R&D lab to their current 6,500 square feet.
Form Energy, a technology firm specializing in multi-day energy storage systems for fully renewable electric grids year-round has recently renewed its lease at Somernova for another four years. With Sublime’s expansion and Form Energy’s growth combined together have created nearly 400 new job opportunities on the Somernova campus.
According to Leah Ellis who is Co-Founder and CEO of Sublime stated that “Collaborating with Somernova has allowed us to easily expand within our own community while also maintaining access to top talent from nearby universities.”
