"Stay Put: La Méditerranée Restaurant on Fillmore Street in San Francisco"

La Méditerranée, a Middle Eastern restaurant located on Fillmore Street in San Francisco, has recently reached an agreement with the Upper Fillmore Revitalization Project to extend their lease for several years until 2028. The restaurant has been a staple in the neighborhood since it first opened its doors at 2210 Fillmore St. over four decades ago.

The Upper Fillmore Revitalization Project is a community reinvestment initiative led by local hospitality entrepreneur Cody Allen and funded by native Neil Mehta. This project was launched earlier this year with the acquisition of various properties on Upper Fillmore Street, including La Méditerranée’s building which they have occupied since 1979.

Owner Vanick Der Bedrossian expressed excitement about continuing to work with Mehta and Allen as they strive to bring more energy and vitality to the neighborhood through their support of small businesses like La Méditerranée. He also shared his gratitude towards loyal customers and the community for their continuous support throughout these past 45 years.
