### Starbucks to Cut More Than 1,100 Corporate Jobs
Starbucks has announced plans to eliminate 1,100 corporate roles as the company grapples with declining sales.
This decision is part of an effort by newly named Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Brian Niccol to streamline operations. Alongside the job cuts, Starbucks will also remove several less popular beverages from its menu. Niccol previously stated that the company aims to trim approximately 30% of its menu items by the end of the 2025 fiscal year.
“We are simplifying our structure, removing layers and duplication, and creating smaller, more nimble teams,” Niccol wrote in a letter to employees. “Our intent is to operate more efficiently, increase accountability, reduce complexity, and drive better integration.”
Starbucks has more than 3,500 corporate employees at its Sodo headquarters in Seattle, located at 2401 Utah Avenue South, as well as in regional offices.
