Located northwest of Austin, Spicewood is being considered as the potential location for the newest Crystal Lagoon development. In collaboration with Ascensions on Lake Travis, Crystal Lagoon plans to create a master-planned community centered around a 3-acre lagoon.
This development will feature residential units, retail spaces, restaurants and even a concert venue. The lagoon itself will be open to the public for swimming and water sports through ticketed entry.
Although this project would be the first of its kind in Austin, Crystal Lagoons has already completed over 275 projects across the country with 70 in Texas alone. Some notable completed projects include Lago Mar in Texas City (12 acres), Balmoral in Atascocita and Windsong Ranch in Prosper.
According to Ascensions Developer Derek Diaz, while still at an early conceptual design stage for the lagoon portion of this project, they hope to begin construction sometime during 2025.
