"Sperry Equities Acquires Aurora Shopping Center"

JLL recently completed the sale of Aurora Commons, a 125,826-square-foot retail center in Aurora, Illinois. The property was acquired by Sperry Equities and represented by JLL’s Capital Markets Investment Sales and Advisory team led by Michael Nieder, Keely Polczynski and Caity Tirakian.

Constructed in 1988, this open-air shopping center is currently 75% occupied with major tenants including Ross Dress for Less and DD’s Discounts. Other notable retailers include Five Below, Dollar Tree,T-Mobile,and H&R Block. Located at the intersection of Illinois Route 31and Indian Trail Road,the property is conveniently situated just outside Chicago city limits (40 miles west)and Naperville (12 miles west).

Aurora Commons also benefits from its proximity to other popular retail centers such as Chicago Premium Outlets,Lake Plaza,and North Aurora Towne Center.Additionally,it is surrounded by several healthcare facilities including Ascension Mercy Hospital,Rush Copley Medical Center,and Advocate Health Care.

This recent transaction marks another successful acquisition for Sperry Equities in their expanding portfolio of commercial properties within the greater Chicago area.
