SpaceX Plans $100 Million Brownsville Facility

SpaceX has announced plans to construct a state-of-the-art office and industrial facility in Brownsville, Texas with an estimated cost of $100 million. The project, known as the “SpaceX Starbase Office”, will be located at their existing launch site on Boca Chica Beach.

The impressive development will span over 15 football fields and include five levels of office space as well as a specialized industrial factory spanning approximately 1 million square feet. In addition to this project, SpaceX also has plans for further expansion in the area with the construction of a shopping center and restaurant totaling $15 million.

The first phase of this development is titled “RioWest” and includes an $8.9 million investment for a grocery store, retail shops, and cafe. The second phase is also named RioWest but focuses on building a restaurant featuring indoor dining space spanning 3500 square feet along with an outdoor deck overlooking the beautiful Rio Grande river. Both projects are set to begin on March 14th with completion expected by December 31st.
