South Bronx Mixed-Use Development Now Open

A ribbon-cutting ceremony marked the grand opening of the housing and public space components at Bronx Point, a mixed-use development in South Bronx. The $349 million project, co-developed by L+M Development Partners and Type A Projects, boasts 542 new housing units along with a 2.8-acre waterfront park and esplanade. Additionally, it will house The Hip Hop Museum in the future while also featuring an early childhood space managed by nonprofit organization BronxWorks. This revitalization effort aims to not only create commercial opportunities but also provide much-needed housing and community services.

According to Lisa Gomez, CEO and partner of L+M Development Partners: “Bronx Point is a complete transformation of previously vacant city-owned property into a dynamic mixed-use development that offers new spaces for vital community institutions as well as an impressive public waterfront park.” She added that this project is especially significant because it provides homes for hundreds of families who are in need.

The post announcing this milestone highlights how South Bronx’s newest mixed-use development has successfully opened its doors without mentioning any specific brands or organizations involved.
