"SOM Chosen by 360 Chicago for Redevelopment Project"

Magnicity, the parent company of 360 CHICAGO, has chosen Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM) to lead the redesign and redevelopment of the 95th and 96th floors at 875 N. Michigan Ave., formerly known as the John Hancock Center.

In June, Magnicity announced its acquisition of these two floors which have been vacant since September 2023. This adds an additional 30,000 square feet to their Chicago portfolio on the renowned Magnificent Mile. Nichole Benolken, Managing Director of360 CHICAGO stated that they are thrilled for SOM to join them in creating a remarkable destination that will enhance both the profile of this iconic building and Chicago’s Mag Mile.

Scott Duncan from SOM commented on how groundbreaking The John Hancock Center was when it was first built – being one of world’s first tall mixed-use towers which changed urban architecture forever.
