Smart Manufacturing Facility Construction Begins: First Mode Energy

First Mode Energy has announced the construction of its first manufacturing facility in Seattle, Washington. The 45,000-square-foot building located in SoDo neighborhood will produce zero-emission power plants and associated ground infrastructure. This facility is one of the largest of its kind in Seattle and will support First Mode’s nuGen™ haulage solutions which replace diesel engines with battery and hydrogen fuel alternatives for mining haul trucks and locomotives by retrofitting existing fleets.

Seattle Mayor Bruce Harrell commented on this announcement saying “We’re incredibly pleased that First Mode is establishing its first manufacturing facility here in Seattle – a city known for progress driving ideas. This state-of-the art facility helps First Mode achieve their mission to decarbonize heavy industry, bring clean energy jobs to our city, as well as build a more sustainable future for generations to come.”
