Slate Asset Management, the former lender of the property, now owns one of DFW’s tallest office towers – Comerica Bank Tower. The 60-story tower at 1717 Main Street will be repurposed into a mixed-use destination by its new owners. With over $10 billion in assets under management, Slate is well-equipped for this project.
The redevelopment and leasing operations will be handled by Stream Realty Partners.
Designed by renowned architect Philip Johnson and opened in 1987, the tower has been acquired by Woods Capital in 2023. Along with TriGate Capital – another owner of the tower – Woods planned renovations that included converting a significant portion of it into residential units and hotel rooms.
