SkyBox Building: Phase I of 1M-SF Lancaster Data Center

Skybox Datacenters LLC has recently commenced construction on a 1-million-square-foot data center campus in Lancaster, signaling the company’s expansion into this growing market. The Dallas-based firm officially broke ground on the PowerCampus earlier this month, with plans to create job opportunities for approximately 120 individuals upon its completion.

The first phase of development will involve constructing a state-of-the-art facility spanning over 270,900 square feet at an estimated cost of $85 million. This initial phase is expected to be finalized by 2026 and will serve as the foundation for future growth. Ultimately, the expansive campus will consist of three buildings and operate on its own private substation capable of generating up to 300 megawatts.

PowerCampus Dallas is a joint venture between Skybox Datacenters LLC, Bandera Ventures, and Principal Asset Management – bringing together industry leaders with extensive experience in developing cutting-edge data centers. With its strategic location within close proximity to other major cloud providers and access to an extensive network connecting various metro areas across the nation, it’s no surprise that Dallas-Fort Worth remains one of America’s top data center hubs.
