Skanska Finishes Construction of Arlington VHC Health Outpatient Pavilion

Skanska has completed VHC Health’s new 245,000-square-foot Outpatient Pavilion in Arlington, VA. Charles Fletcher of VHC Health said the project was “the most significant expansion of Virginia Hospital Center’s facilities in more than 20 years” when it broke ground in 2021.

The facility offers physical therapy examination and treatment rooms, radiology and imaging suites, clinics for examinations and six operating rooms. Additionally 22,000 square feet have been dedicated to women’s health services such as obstetrics, gynecology maternal-fetal medicine aging/menopause services genetics breast health urology cardiology among others.

At the end of 2021 Skanska delivered a new onsite parking garage adjacent to the hospital with three levels below grade and six above grade that can accommodate 1 600 cars plus an indoor walkway connecting it to the hospital itself.
