The San Gabriel and Lower Los Angeles Rivers and Mountains Conservancy (RMC) has chosen Skanska Integrated Solutions to provide construction management services for two of its current projects: the Gehry Partners-designed Southeast Los Angeles (SELA) Cultural Center in South Gate, as well as the development of Alondra Gateway Park in Compton.
The SELA Cultural Center is part of a comprehensive program aimed at transforming the LA River, representing one of seven signature projects from the Lower Los Angeles River Revitalization Plan. Likewise, Alondra Gateway Park stands as an initial park project from Compton Creek Implementation Plan.
Skanska Integrated Solutions will manage planning, scheduling, preconstruction procurement and construction for both projects. Mark Stanley – executive officer at RMC – commented on this selection: “The SELA Cultural Center exemplifies multi-benefit community revitalization initiatives that our agency strives to achieve along with Lower LA River.”
