Skanska Constructing LGA Jet Fuel Transmission Systems

Skanska, a leading construction company, has been awarded a $113 million contract by LGAFUEL LLC to build the jet fuel transmission systems at LaGuardia Airport in Queens. The project will involve constructing 11,000 feet of parallel transmission lines and other necessary infrastructure for the airport’s hydrant fueling system.

According to Keith Chouinard, senior vice president and general manager of Skanska USA Civil’s Northeast region, they are honored to continue their work at LaGuardia Airport and contribute towards improving its jet fuel transmission systems. He also expressed gratitude for being able to play an important role in enhancing passenger experience and operational efficiency as the airport undergoes revolutionary advancements.

The project is scheduled to commence in January 2024 with an expected completion date of May 2026. This aligns with LaGuardia Airport’s ongoing efforts towards improving operational efficiency and providing a seamless experience for passengers.
