"Sizing Up the Tallest Building in OKC and the Country"

Matteson Capital is currently considering the development of a 1,907-foot tower in Oklahoma City. This proposed mixed-use tower would be located approximately three hours north of Dallas and, if built, would become the tallest building in the nation. The architect for this project is AO.

Known as Legends Tower, it will be one component of Matteson’s Boardwalk at Bricktown development which includes four towers. Currently a parking lot, this site will transform into over 2 million square feet of residential units along with hospitality options such as retail stores and dining establishments to provide entertainment for residents and visitors alike. With an estimated cost of $1.5 billion fully funded by Matteson Capital itself.

Before proceeding with construction plans however, approval must first be obtained from both Oklahoma City Council and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). In April, the Oklahoma City Planning Commission will review a zoning change proposal followed by a city council meeting scheduled for June.

In case these approvals are not granted,Matteson has stated that they have alternative plans to build only a 350-foot tower instead on this fourth property within their development project.
