Two popular entertainment options in Texas, Six Flags and Schlitterbahn, have recently joined forces to create a massive entertainment empire. This collaboration offers expanded park access for season pass holders and enhanced perks for the combined loyalty program. With a combined value of over $8 billion, this partnership will continue to operate under the Six Flags name but use Cedar Fair’s “FUN” ticker symbol on the New York Stock Exchange.

Six Flags currently owns several amusement parks in Texas including Six Flags Over Texas and Hurricane Harbor water park in Dallas-Fort Worth, as well as locations in San Antonio and Houston. On the other hand, Cedar Fair acquired Schlitterbahn Waterpark and Resort New Braunfels along with Schlitterbahn Waterpark Galveston for $260 million back in 2019.

This exciting news of two major players coming together is sure to bring even more fun-filled experiences for families across Texas.
