Simon Launches Revamp of Brea Mall for Mixed-Use Development

Simon is set to launch a long-planned, multimillion dollar redevelopment at Brea Mall, as reported by What Now Orange County. The multi-year project involves demolishing the former Sears store and constructing a new mixed-use development with retail and dining options, luxury residential buildings totaling 380 units, an outdoor plaza and resort-style fitness concept.

Nate Weirbach, Director of Marketing & Business Development for Brea Mall commented on the investment: “The continued investment in our retail growth will elevate the overall shopping experience at Brea Mall. From families gathering in the outdoor plaza to shoppers exploring our newest retailer streetscape – we are creating a welcoming environment for all.”  

In May 2020 ,the City Council gave final approval to Simon’s project which joins other mixed use redevelopments of shopping malls across California and throughout America .
