Cornelius Apartments in Seattle’s Belltown Sells for $19M
Cornelius Apartments, a 137-unit multifamily property located at 306 Blanchard Street in Seattle’s vibrant Belltown neighborhood, has been sold for $19 million.
The transaction was brokered by Dylan Simon, Jerrid Anderson, Matt Laird, and JD Fuller of the Simon | Anderson Multifamily Team at Kidder Mathews, who represented the seller.
“This transaction underscores the continued investor demand for well-located multifamily assets in Seattle’s urban core,” said Dylan Simon. “Looking ahead, properties like Cornelius Apartments highlight the opportunities for investors to participate in both the neighborhood’s resurgence and Seattle’s long-term growth story.”
Originally constructed in 1925, the nine-story brick building features classic architectural elements and units averaging 455 square feet. Originally designed as a hotel, the property boasts a storied past and has hosted prominent guests, including Elvis Presley during Seattle’s 1962 World’s Fair and the unveiling of the Space Needle.
The Cornelius Apartments are ideally located near several iconic Seattle destinations including Pike Place Market, the waterfront, and Olympic Sculpture Park. The area also offers access to a wide variety of dining, nightlife, and cultural venues — enhancing its appeal to residents and investors alike.
