**Kimpton Hotels to Debut in Indianapolis with Historic Building Revamp**
Silverstone Development has announced plans to open Kimpton Indianapolis in Fall 2026, marking the luxury and lifestyle hotel brand’s debut under IHG Hotels & Resorts in the Indianapolis market.
In collaboration with IHG, Silverstone is transforming the historic building at 1 North Pennsylvania Street into a one-of-a-kind, mixed-use luxury destination. The redevelopment reimagines the former office space into a 167-room hotel, complete with a 15th-floor ballroom, a full-service restaurant, and an 18-story rooftop bar.
“At Silverstone, we strive to create authentic projects that serve the communities we’re part of, and Kimpton Indianapolis is a perfect fit to highlight Indy as a premier destination,” said Dale Johns, principal at Silverstone Development.
Originally constructed in 1908, the building was once the tallest high-rise in Indianapolis. Global architecture and design firm Gensler has been selected to lead the office-to-hotel conversion, which includes a full interior renovation and modernization of the historic structure.
The new Kimpton Indianapolis Downtown aims to combine the building’s architectural legacy with contemporary luxury, creating a vibrant new experience in the heart of the city.
