**Silverstein Partners with Rush Street for NYC Casino Bid**
Silverstein Properties has partnered with Rush Street Gaming in its pursuit of one of the three available downstate casino licenses in New York. The proposed casino would be a central element of Avenir, a planned mixed-use development on Manhattan’s Far West Side.
Rush Street Gaming will operate the casino component of Avenir, joining Silverstein’s existing gaming partner Greenwood Gaming and Entertainment, which will continue to serve as a partner, advisor, and investor in the project. This marks Rush Street’s second casino in New York State, following its successful development, ownership, and operation of Rivers Casino and Resort in Schenectady.
“Our company has been part of the West Side for over 40 years, and we look forward to continuing to work together on a project that will bring much-needed jobs, tax revenue, economic development and affordable housing to the city and state,” said Lisa Silverstein, CEO of Silverstein Properties.
The Avenir project is planned for a shovel-ready, vacant site at 41st Street and Eleventh Avenue, which is currently owned and controlled by Silverstein Properties.
