Silverstein and Partners Reveal New Casino Design for Far West Side

Silverstein Properties, in partnership with Rush Street Gaming and Greenwood Gaming and Entertainment, has revealed a new design for The Avenir, a proposed mixed-use development on Manhattan’s Far West Side. The unveiling comes in the wake of Related Companies and Wynn Resorts withdrawing their competing casino plans near Hudson Yards.

Lisa Silverstein, CEO of Silverstein Properties, emphasized the company’s long-standing commitment to the neighborhood. “Over the past 40 years we have invested heavily in this neighborhood, and care deeply about the fabric of this community,” she said. “We worked hard to create a design that brings a vibrant and dynamic ethos and contextually fits within this special part of the city. We hope to bring many components to this project and balance the right amount of activity to serve the community in a thoughtful way that will elevate the neighborhood.”

The Avenir is designed as a 785-foot-tall mixed-use tower that will feature a 1,000-key hotel, a casino, more than a dozen restaurants and bars, meeting and conference spaces, a spa and fitness center, an outdoor pool, a boutique entertainment venue, and a community gallery on Eleventh Avenue.
