“Signs of Life at Atlanta Civic Center”

"Signs of Life at Atlanta Civic Center"

The Atlanta Civic Center, once a hub of cultural activity, has been revitalized by the Atlanta Housing Authority. The property was acquired in 2017 for $31 million and a master plan is currently being developed by Civic Center Partners. This project is expected to bring about an urban revival worth nearly $600 million and will include retail space, affordable housing options, outdoor green areas and a civic square.

According to the Atlanta Housing Authority, the entire development will span 1.8 million square feet and aims to breathe new life into this historic location that had been left abandoned for ten years. With its prime location in the heart of downtown Atlanta, this project is set to become a vibrant part of the city’s landscape once again.
