The partnership of The Sigmund Companies (TSC) and Broadview Real Estate Partners recently acquired Groton Shoppers Mart, a grocery-anchored shopping center located at 955 Poquonnock Rd. in Groton, CT. This open-air center spans over 171,858 square feet and the purchase price has not been disclosed.
Groton Shoppers Mart has been privately owned since its construction in 1961. It is home to several national retailers such as Big Y, CVS Pharmacy, Chase Bank and Starbucks that cater to convenience and necessity needs.
Under this joint venture with Broadview Real Estate Partners, TSC will oversee the operations of the property. The sale was facilitated by Atlantic Capital Partners while Atlantic Retail will handle leasing and management duties.
