Mid-America Real Estate’s Investment Sales Group successfully facilitated the sale of Shops of Heatherfield, a highly sought-after shopping center in Chicago’s affluent North Shore area. The 89,253-square-foot property was acquired by The Shiner Group through the expertise and efforts of Richard Drogosz and Joe Girardi, who acted as exclusive brokers on behalf of the seller – a prominent global investment advisor.

Shops of Heatherfield boasts an impressive anchor tenant in Jewel-Osco, occupying 70,848 square feet. As Chicago’s leading grocer with strong market share dominance for over two decades at this location alone, Jewel-Osco recently extended its lease until 2033. Located within Glenview’s thriving retail trade area which has shown consistent growth according to Mid-America research data.

This transaction is part of Mid-America Real Estate’s recent success with similar deals involving grocery-anchored centers in Chicago such as Marketplace at Six Corners (117k SF) located in Portage Park and Townes Crossing (106k SF) situated in Oswego – both anchored by popular retailer Jewel-Osco.
