Big Chicken, a popular fried chicken restaurant backed by NBA Hall of Famer Shaquille O’Neal, is expanding its reach with a new location in Tacoma. The 2,800-square-foot space will be situated at 2601 N. Pearl Street in the Westgate North Shopping Center in North Tacoma.
Founded in 2018 and supported by O’Neal along with New York-based Authentic Brand Group and Las Vegas-based JRS Hospitality, Big Chicken offers a variety of delicious menu items including fried chicken sandwiches, mac ‘n’ cheese and hand-crafted ice cream shakes.
According to reports from the Puget Sound Business Journal , franchise owner Tony Puckett – a local resident of Tacoma – has been working on plans for this new location for several months. He hopes to continue expanding the brand’s presence throughout south King County and Vancouver.
