**Serenbe Plans $1.7 Billion Expansion Featuring Residential and Hospitality Developments**

A self-described wellness community located 40 miles southwest of Atlanta is preparing for a major expansion. Serenbe, nestled in Chattahoochee Hills, is planning a $1.7 billion development project that aims to add hundreds of new residences, hotel accommodations, and commercial and civic facilities, according to the Atlanta Business Journal.

Key elements of the planned expansion include 97 “aging-in-place” residential units. These will range from single-family homes to townhouses and apartments, catering to older residents seeking a community-oriented lifestyle. In addition to the housing, a 110-key hotel, restaurant, wellness center, and medical service facilities are also part of the upcoming development. These components are scheduled for completion by 2029.

In support of this growth, Fulton County’s economic development authority previously approved an $11 million tax incentive to assist with the $300 million portion of the expansion related to the aging-in-place campus and hotel.

Looking further ahead, a future phase of the plan could bring additional mixed-use elements, including a new office building with retail space, a 70-key second hotel, and several hundred more residential units. The entire expansion is projected to be completed by 2035.

Currently, Serenbe is home to approximately 600 residential units, a boutique inn, eight restaurants, 30 retail shops, and an organic farm—all interconnected by a network of scenic walking trails designed to foster a sense of community and well-being.
