"Selma to Get New Hospital: Plans Announced"

A new hospital is being developed in Northwest San Antonio, with construction already underway for the University Health Retama Hospital. This state-of-the-art facility is set to open its doors to patients in 2027, following a $11.6 million investment by University Health three years ago for over 40 acres of land in Selma.

The hospital will be situated at the intersection of Retama Parkway and Lookout Road, boasting a total area of nearly 600,000 square feet that includes both the main campus and an ancillary medical office building. With an initial capacity of 166 beds and potential expansion up to 286 beds, this facility will provide top-notch healthcare services.
