As the economy continues to be sluggish, fewer projects are being built. However, developers are still planning for the future by initiating zoning cases in towns of all sizes across Texas. Alliance West and Denton Land and Cattle have jointly submitted a request to Fort Worth City Council for a change in development agreement concerning over 600 acres of land located in Denton County.
The Dallas Business Journal reported that this project includes construction of business parks with distribution warehouses and other industrial uses along Highway 114; there is also an option for commercial and multifamily development near Perot Field just north of State Highway 114 & west FM 156. Although this property lies outside Fort Worth’s boundaries, it seeks assurance from the town that they will accept terms once annexation occurs.
