Ed Wabick, Principal of DarwinPW Realty/CORFAC International, and Vice President Chris Mergenthaler successfully represented Lampshades, Inc. in securing a new lease for 16,950 square feet at 5009 W. 66th Street in Bedford Park, Illinois. The building owner Mumford Properties was represented by John D’Orazio of Colliers International.
The tenant chose to relocate from their previous location on Ogden Avenue in Chicago to keep their business and jobs within Cook County. According to Wabick: “Lampshades Inc., a local manufacturer wanted to stay rooted within the county and we were able to find them an ideal space with ample office space and convenient access to Midway Airport and major highways.”
The newly leased units are part of a larger building spanning over 255,000 square feet with warehouse areas featuring clear heights of up-to-18′, four common docks for easy loading/unloading purposes as well as power supply capacity reaching up-to-400 amps; additionally there is also approximately 2,400 square feet dedicated towards office use. The strategic infill location offers optimal distribution opportunities for retailers throughout the city as well as surrounding suburbs.
