Hawkins Way Capital, a real estate company with $3 billion in assets under management, has acquired Garden Village – a 77-unit student housing property located at 2201 Dwight Way in Berkeley. This marks the latest addition to Hawkins Way’s rapidly growing portfolio and is their second FOUND Study property in Berkeley following the purchase of Varsity Berkeley last September.
The newly acquired property will now operate as FOUND Study Southside Berkeley and will be managed by FCL Management, an operator of successful properties across select cities in the U.S.
According to Ross Walker, managing partner at Hawkins Way Capital, this acquisition demonstrates their commitment to investing in top-quality housing that meets the changing needs of today’s students and young professionals. With its modern design, excellent amenities and prime location just blocks from UC Berkley campus, this new addition to the FOUND Study brand is another step forward for Hawkins Way. They are excited about welcoming students into their community and creating an environment that feels like home.
